Instant Access to Media

Designed for fast performance, the PX Medical Video Archive uses rich metadata to make it easy to find and retrieve items quickly. Metadata includes information from your camera, such as recording date and time, and information that you provide, such as patient name, doctor name, type of procedure, and more. By refining your search based on metadata, you can locate the media you need with ease. Low-resolution video clips of your HD, HDV, DV, and MPEG video allow for quick preview, protect high-resolution media assets, and save network bandwidth, making the PX Medical Video Archive the ideal solution for the medical profession.

Efficient Media Ingest

Supporting high-resolution MPEG-2 and DV/DVCAM encoding, the PX Ingest Station enhances your workflow by enabling you to ingest, index, and upload multiple channels of analog or digital video to the PX Media Server. Through its intuitive interface, the PX Ingest Station delivers the functionality of high-end ingest products without requiring the user to be a technical expert.

1. Configure each channel for either MPEG-2 or DV encoding.
2. Capture digital video from multiple sources (cameras and tape decks), monitoring each through its own window.
3. Attach metadata on the fly using up to 12 user-configurable “hot keys.”

Convenient Browser-Based Interface

The browser-based interface provides immediate access to audio, video, images, and text-based data from any location. Additional features include online and offline usage, picture-to-clip extract, multi-client support, access rights management, and NLE format compatibility via the Focus DV Conversion Suite.

Seamless Media Export

Video can be viewed any time through the PX Media Server browser-based interface; however, when you need to distribute it, full-bandwidth media can be saved to your desktop or it can be easily exported. To make the export process simple, the PX Medical Video Archive supports a number of export modules that simplify the distribution process. For example, you can upload video from the PX Media Server to a web server or an FTP server. When you make video available for download, you can incorporate an order form to collect information before download can begin, ensuring that you capture information about those who use your video.1 If you’d like to distribute video on DVD, the PX Medical Video Archive supports a module that not only makes it easy to burn DVDs, but also creates menus and labels.*
